About Ubud

Ubud Palace

Ubud is a town in central Bali, about 35 Km northeast of Bali's International Airport. Regarded as the cultural center of Bali, Ubud is home to many remarkable sights, both architectural and natural.

Despite the Bali tourism boom that started in the 1960's Ubud retains it's cultural traditions and is a fresh break from the party scene in Kuta beach.

Far from being undiscovered Ubud is home to the best Hotels and Resorts in Bali but other affordable accommodations are available and the rates are relatively lower than those in the Bali beach towns.

Numerous art workshops and galleries are all over the town and nearby villages. The rice terrace and natural surroundings provides a breathtaking sight and traditional dances and ceremonies are performed almost daily.

But the thing that kept tourist going back to this peaceful little town in Bali is to enjoy the atmosphere of tranquility and general well being that is rare even in other island paradises.
